Thorbis

QuickBooks · One-way sync

Keep the books. Take the board.

Your accountant keeps QuickBooks. Jobs, dispatch, and collect stay in Thorbis. Issued invoices post one way to QuickBooks after a readable dry-run.

Clearing account not set. We will not guess.

Held · will not post

One-way posting. Nothing goes live until the dry-run passes.

The boundary

One job. Two systems. Clear ownership.

Thorbis runs the work. QuickBooks keeps the ledger. The sync moves records across that line without pretending both systems own the same decision.

Thorbis

the work

  • The customer on the jobWho called. The street. The equipment.
  • The estimate and the invoiceIssued here. Progress and final.
  • PaidCard, tap, check, cash, bank. A screenshot is not this.
  • The payout evidenceWhat Stripe actually settled. Not a guessed fee.

QuickBooks

the ledger

  • The chart of accountsYour accountant’s map. We do not replace it.
  • Tax codesTheirs. Mapped. Not invented here.
  • AdjustmentsJournal entries stay in QuickBooks.
  • The books and the reportsP&L lives there until you turn Money on.

What lands

Issued. Paid. Then it posts.

  1. on first invoice

    Customer

Created when the first invoice needs them. Not every keystroke.

  2. on issued

    Invoice

Progress and final, linked to the job.

  3. after paid

    Payment

After it is actually paid. Applied to that invoice.

  4. after canonical

    Credit / refund

After it is canonical here. Then it posts.

  5. from settlement

    Stripe fee and payout

From the settlement. Not a percentage we guessed.

Connect

Four steps. Nothing guessed.

  1. Get the board

Jobs have to exist. We will not sync an empty shop.

  2. Connect the company

One QuickBooks company. You pick it. We do not guess which company.

  3. Map the accounts

Income, tax, clearing, bank, fees. A dry-run against Oak before live.

  4. Turn it on

Issued invoices land. Payments follow. Drift is a row you can see.

Not this

What this will not pretend.

  • A two-way live mirror. Edits in QuickBooks show as drift. They do not silently overwrite the job.

  • Importing your old QuickBooks file as the board. Tuesday comes from the export of the other software, or from you.

  • Thorbis as the general ledger on day one. That is Money: later, and included when released.

  • A green “connected” badge while invoices are failing. Health is the record, or we do not pretend.

When Money releases, it can replace the second login and will be included in Thorbis. Until then, QuickBooks stays the books.
