The next stages of Thorbis (Projects for commercial contractors, the facilities side for the buildings they serve) are being designed with two small councils instead of a focus group. This page is the whole arrangement, in the open.

Two councils

The Commercial Contractor Council

Commercial service and install contractors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, fire and life safety, controls) running real crews on real buildings.

Your real workflow
How the work actually runs: the draw schedule that got disputed, the punch list that lived in a text thread. The unglamorous truth is the input we need.
Honest reactions to unfinished software
Partners see rough things early and say what’s wrong plainly. Polite feedback is worthless; specific irritation is gold.
A working cadence
A recurring conversation, not a one-time survey: short, scheduled, and respectful of the fact that you have a business to run.

No advisory-board theater. Partners talk to the people writing the software, and watch their feedback change it.
First use of anything credible
When a piece is real enough to run on a live business, councils run it first, at the honest early-access stage, labeled as such.
A product shaped like your work
The point of a council of twenty instead of a survey of twenty thousand: the shape of Projects and Facilities will match the members' actual operations.

The rule that makes it safe to join

Your name is yours.

Participation is not a public endorsement. No partner’s name, logo, or story appears on this site, in sales conversations, or anywhere else without written approval: not as a “trusted by” logo, not as a case study, not as a hint. Councils exist to build the product, and membership stays private by default.

The arrangement

Councils run on trust in both directions: your workflow shapes the product, and your name stays yours in writing.

How to apply

One email. No form.

Write a paragraph about your operation: trade or portfolio, crew or building count, and the workflow that hurts most. That’s the entire application. We read all of it and answer honestly, including when the honest answer is “not yet.”
