Accounting

Planned

Core bookkeeping built around how field-service work actually flows.

Overview

Generic accounting tools don't speak field service, so contractors bolt on a second system and reconcile two worlds by hand. Thorbis is building core bookkeeping that maps to your jobs, invoices, and payments from the start. You'll keep your books aligned with the work without exporting to a separate package and stitching it back together.

What we're building

Generic accounting software does not understand field service. Most contractors end up running a second system and reconciling two sets of books by hand at the end of every month.

Thorbis is building core bookkeeping that maps to your jobs, invoices, and payments from the start. Your ledger ties back to the work that created each entry, transactions get categorized for the books, and income and expenses can be tracked by job. From that same data you can produce core financial statements without exporting to a separate package and stitching it back together.

It is built for contractors who want their books to reflect how the business actually runs, not a generic chart of accounts bolted on after the fact.

What you'll be able to do

  • Keep a ledger tied to jobs and invoices
  • Track income and expenses by job
  • Categorize transactions for the books
  • Produce core financial statements
  • Reduce double entry across systems
  • See profitability for a job where you manage it
  • Tie payments and invoices back to ledger entries
