Dispatch & Work
Subcontractor management
Assign work to subs and track their invoices alongside your crew.
Overview
Jobber supports subcontractor workflows. Thorbis treats all workers as employees.
What we're building
When you're slammed and hand work to a subcontractor, your system still treats everyone like a W-2 employee, so the sub's schedule, paperwork, and invoices live off to the side in texts and emails.
Thorbis is exploring subcontractor support: vendor records for the subs you use, the ability to assign jobs to them, and a portal where they see their schedule and fill out the forms you require. Their invoices get tracked against the job's cost, so you can see real margin on subbed-out work. For shops that flex capacity with outside crews.
What you'll be able to do
- Subcontractor vendor records
- Assign jobs to subs
- Sub portal for schedule and forms
- Track sub invoices against job cost
- Manage outside crews without treating them as employees
- See true job margin on subbed-out work
