Real-time job costing and margin
See labor, materials, and margin update as the job progresses.
Overview
ServiceTitan Job Costing and Jobber Grow track profitability in real time. Thorbis has job costing fields but limited live margin UX.
What we're building
By the time a job closes, it is too late to fix the margin, the labor was spent and the materials were used. If you only see profitability after the fact, you are always reacting.
Thorbis is building real-time job costing that shows margin on the job command center as the work progresses. Labor cost flows in from time entries, material cost from inventory consumption, and an alert fires when margin drops below the threshold you set. It is for owners and managers who want to catch a job slipping before it closes, not explain it afterward.
What you'll be able to do
- Live margin on job command center
- Labor cost from time entries
- Material cost from inventory consumption
- Alert when margin drops below threshold
- Know a job's margin while it's still open
- Catch jobs slipping under target before they close

How to send useful feedback
Name the blocked role
Product feedback is more useful when it names the owner, dispatcher, technician, office user, or customer affected.
Explain the workaround
Describe what your team does today and where the process fails under real work.
Define success
Share what would change after launch: time saved, fewer manual steps, cleaner records, or better customer follow-up.
