Role-based mobile experience

PlannedLater in 2026

Give techs, dispatchers, and owners a mobile app tuned to their job, not one cluttered screen everyone has to dig through.

Overview

A tech in the field and an owner checking the day's numbers need very different things from their phone, but most apps hand everyone the same menu. Thorbis is building role-based mobile views so each person lands on the tools their job actually needs. Techs see their route and work orders, dispatchers see the board, owners see live operations, less scrolling, fewer mistakes.

What we're building

A tech in the field and an owner checking the day's numbers need completely different things from their phone, but most apps hand everyone the same crowded menu. So everyone scrolls past tools they will never use to reach the few they need, and that friction causes mistakes.

Thorbis is building role-based mobile views so each person lands on the tools their job actually needs. Techs open to their route, jobs, and work orders; dispatchers get the board and assignment tools; owners see live operations and numbers. Screens a role doesn't need stay out of the way, and what's visible adjusts as someone's role changes. It is built so every person on the team gets an app that fits their job instead of one cluttered screen everyone has to dig through.

What you'll be able to do

  • Show techs their route, jobs, and work orders first
  • Give dispatchers the board and assignment tools
  • Surface live operations and numbers for owners
  • Hide screens a role doesn't need
  • Adjust what's visible as a person's role changes
  • Cut the scrolling to reach the tools you use
  • Give each role a focused starting screen

How to send useful feedback

Name the blocked role

Product feedback is more useful when it names the owner, dispatcher, technician, office user, or customer affected.

Explain the workaround

Describe what your team does today and where the process fails under real work.

Define success

Share what would change after launch: time saved, fewer manual steps, cleaner records, or better customer follow-up.
